NewStar’s wide range of field locations yields a better product. It’s that simple. That’s because we only plant in the soils and climates that are best suited to growing produce of the highest quality, all year long.
Our growing seasons take advantage of the best weather in each of these regions, generally moving south as the summer changes to fall, and north once again, with the onset of spring.
Long known for a Coastal Climate with abundantly fertile ground NewStar grows our cilantro, parsley and Italian parsley to enhance our diversification of growing areas.
Like Yuma, Mexicali has beautiful fall and winter weather with fertile soil to grow green onions, asparagus, cilantro, parsley and kale year-round.
Ojos Negros, Baja California, Mexico
In Ojos Negros, our processing facility was specifically designed and built to pack our superior quality green onions, grown in the surrounding valley of this temperate western Baja region. Our season here runs from May through October.
Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
This region provides a mild, Mediterranean coastal climate to grow superior green onions and asparagus here, from July through October.
